Training & Usage Support
Training and usage support involves providing assistance to regional staff, school principals, administrative staff, teachers, librarians, students and learners to develop all the necessary and appropriate ICT skills. It is important to support these stakeholders using ICTs to transform Namibia into a knowledge-based economy as outlined in Vision 2030.
Training spans all curriculum areas in: ICT Literacy, ICT Integration for Educators, First Line Technical Support and ICT as an Examinable subject. Find information about these areas in Curriculum Development.
Site-based training will accompany all technology deployments to educational institutions. As new deployments are rolled out, users at these institutions will receive on-location ICT training lasting approximately 6 months. Where ICTs already exist, training will be rolled out to these institutions to ensure that the resources are effectively utilised.
