Infrastructure Readiness and Platform Deployment
  Deployment of an aggregate of 12 labs in the four Colleges of Education. Deployments will consist of minimum 10 PCs, a printer, and projector and will be based on the identified need and student population. Calendar year 2007

Revision and, if necessary, development of curricula and content which incorporates ICTs in subject areas at the Colleges of Education. June 2007
ICT as an examinable subject Computer Studies as a major/minor will be available through the Colleges of Education. January 2009
Content Availibility   Ensure participation in content development training programmes conducted by the Namibian E-Learning Centre. Ongoing
Ensure access to the e-Learning content packages included as part of standard deployment to all schools. January 2007
Training and Usage Support ICT Literacy All teacher educators successfully complete the Intermediate Level ICT Literacy Certification. December 2007
All 1st year pre-service student teachers complete the Foundation Level ICT Literacy Certification by the end of their first year. Beginning January 2009
All 3rd year pre-service student teachers complete the Intermediate Level ICT Literacy Certification prior to graduation. Beginning January 2009
ICT Integration for Eduators All teacher eduactors successfully complete the module on ICT Integration for Educators. December 2007
All teacher educators develop at least 3 assignments per semester per subject requiring ICT usage by pre-service teachers. Beginning January 2008
All 3rd year pre-service teachers must successfully complete the ICT component in the IMTE programme prior to graduation. Beginning January 2009
ICT as an examinable subject A sufficient number of teacher educators are able to teach Computer Studies as a major at the Colleges of Education. Beginning January 2009
Maintenance and Technical Support   All Colleges develop sufficient capabilities to provide First Level Technical Support. Training provided in conjunction with deployments
Monitoring and Evaluation   Participation in ongoing monitoring and evaluation activities. Ongoing
